This famous tourist spot can be reached by local buses, taxis and cars and the main attraction are the fresh water springs in this location.

Architecture

The structure of this magnificent temple resembles that if a Haveli or mansion. The Galtaji temple has been built using pink sandstone and sits aesthetically on top of a hill. It has rounded roofs, painted walls and the most exquisitely carved pillars. The landscape around the location is natural and lush green which offers a striking view of the plains in the surrounding areas.

The water from the natural springs in the temple is accumulated in kunds or tanks.

These tanks never go dry, even in the driest days of Jaipur. The holiest amongst them in the Galta Kund. It is believed that bathing in the holy water washes away the sins. Makar Sakranti is considered to be the most auspicious day for a dip in the holy water.
